Stockholm districts

Our team is based on Hornsgatan in Södermalm and works throughout the city. We understand the unique building regulations, brf requirements, and microclimates of each neighbourhood.

Södermalm

Rooftop terraces with views over Riddarfjärden. Common projects include compact deck builds, glass wind screens, and planter systems for exposed top-floor apartments.

Östermalm

Spacious courtyard decks behind stucco facades. We design privacy screens, integrated seating, and drainage for ground-level gardens in dense urban blocks.

Vasastan

Mix of roof and courtyard projects. Many renovation builds replacing ageing decks with modern composite systems and upgraded waterproofing.

Kungsholmen

Waterfront-adjacent terraces requiring robust wind protection. Frequent use of glass screens and weighted planter systems for gust-prone locations.

Gamla Stan

Heritage-sensitive terrace work within strict visual guidelines. Reclaimed materials, discreet drainage, and designs that complement historic architecture.

Norrmalm & City

Commercial-adjacent residential terraces. Rooftop lounges for mixed-use buildings with higher load requirements and coordinated brf approvals.

Greater Stockholm

We also serve nearby suburbs including Liljeholmen, Hammarby Sjöstad, Bromma, Årsta, and Enskede. Travel within Stockholm city limits is included in all consultation and construction quotes.

Climate considerations by area

Stockholm's climate varies subtly by district. Waterfront areas like Kungsholmen and Hammarby Sjöstad experience stronger winds and higher humidity — we specify corrosion-resistant fasteners and heavier screen anchoring. Inland courtyards in Vasastan and Östermalm may have more shade and slower drying — drainage and ventilation beneath decking boards become especially important.

Regardless of location, all our materials and designs account for Swedish winter conditions: freeze-thaw cycles, snow load, and the short but intense growing season for terrace planters.
